Press-fit technology
Press-fit technology is that inserting flexible or rigid pins of connectors into plated through holes (PTHs) of printed circuit board (PCB) without soldering. It is reliable and easy to operate.
The basic requirement is that the diameter of press-fit zone must be greater than the diameter of PTH. During the press-fit process, there is deformation of the pin. Thus, the pin slides into the hole and is connected with the PTH tightly.

3、Control modules
3.1 Closed-loop control module
Monitor press-fit process
1. Press head contacts the upper tool and push it;
connector is preloading;
pressure starts to rise.
2. The eye of the needle is deformed by push;
pressure continues to rise;
the pin is inserted into the hole of a PCB.
3. The deformation of EON ends;
the pin slides into the hole;
pressure starts to fall down.
4. The housing of connector contacts
PCB;
pressure starts to rise again;
the press-fit process ends.
Pressure/Velocity Feedback System (PVFS)
Pressure/Velocity Feedback System (PVFS) is a dynamic pressure feedback and control system applied to the press-fit process. By setting sampling position and range, calculate the sampling pressure; By the sampling pressure, calculate the pressure to control the press-fit process.
Auto pressure sampling control
Auto pressure sampling control adopts dynamic pressure sampling control and fixed torque control, which is better than adopting max. torque to control press-fit process.
Monitor pressure vs distance change rate
This module applies to the tough connectors that needs to be in contact with the surface of PCB tightly.Based on the measuring points, an upward curve (pressure vs distance curve) will be generated. When the connector ends moving, the pressure will rise immediately.According to the minimum upward angle of inclination, judge the degree of press fitting between the connector and PCB
